Currently under construction and considered to be the most ambitious mixed-use condominium development in Canada, The Well is set to stand in the heart of Toronto’s west end at 410 Front Street West and is anticipated to be completed by Fall/Winter 2022. As it is a very large-scale project, it should come as no surprise that the 7-building development ranging from 14 to 36 storeys is a massive collaboration among several well-known developers and architects. It is developed by RioCan REIT, Allied Properties REIT, Diamond Corp, Tridel, and Woodbourne Canada Management, Inc., and built by Hariri Pontarini Architects, architects-Alliance, Wallman Architects, Adamson Associates Architects, BDP and Pickard Chilton.
Onlookers can expect 1.1 million sq ft of office space, 500,000 sq ft of retail and food services, and 1,700 residential units distributed across six buildings that are connected to a 3-level retail base.
