HST relief on new homes, to March 31, 2027. If you sign an agreement for a new home between April 1, 2026 and March 31, 2027 and will live in it, you can get up to $130,000 of the HST back: the full 13% HST on homes up to $1 million, $130,000 on homes from $1 million to $1.5 million, and a reduced amount up to $1.85 million. It applies to all buyers, not just first-time buyers. Construction must start by December 31, 2028 and finish by December 31, 2031. Ask us how it works for a specific home.
